All About My Payment Policy

Acceptable Payments:

  • PayPal
  • or
  • Cashier's Check (a.k.a. Official Check) or Money Order

When payment is due:

For PayPal payments: Within 72 hours (three days) of the auction's close.*
For Cashier's Check or Money Order payments: Mailed payments must be received within fourteen (14) days of the auction's close.*

Whichever payment option you choose, payment in full, including any applicable shipping charge, must be received before the item(s) will ship.

Multiple purchases or multiple quantities purchased via PayPal will require separate payments for each.

For buyers who opt to make payment by money order: Funds from any non‑US Postal money order will need to clear prior to the item(s) shipping.

US Currency only.

Auction's close means the buyer's local time and date at which any one of the following occurs: 1. The auction listing ends, by timing‑out, with you as the high bidder; 2. You use the Buy Now facility to initiate an immediate purchase; or 3. Acceptance of your offer, when you use the Make An Offer facility to submit an offer for immediate purchase.

All About My Shipping Policy

I ship only within the USA, as follows:

  • No shipments to US Territories/Protectorates.
  • No shipments to Army, Fleet or Diplomatic Post Office addresses.
  • Excluding APO/FPO/DPOs, I ship to US Postal addresses in all 50 of these United States of America.

For buyers who've chosen to pay via PayPal, I ship only to the PayPal confirmed address associated with the PayPal account used to make the purchase.

Buyer pays for shipping costs, unless the auction listing specifies free shipping.

All shipments are insured and tracked.

Due to the very real potential for lost or damaged shipments—and all of the hassles that go with the filing (and collecting) of an insurance claim—a signature on delivery will be required on any shipment where the final auction/sale price (not including shipping) exceeds$40.00.

My default shippers and methods are UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail. Please advise if you have a preference.

Item(s) normally ships within 24 hours of receipt of payment, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and US Holidays, except for purchases made with non‑US Postal Money Orders, as noted above.

Please be aware that my selling on Ebid is not my full‑time occupation. If next day turnaround is critical, I urge you to contact me by using the "Ask Question" button in the listing, to both notify me and receive a response from me, prior to bidding/buying.

Although I do not combine shipping for multiple purchases or multiple quantities (for insurance reasons), I will gladly offer a discount on the shipping cost of each item. If interested, you'll need to contact me via the "Ask Question" button prior to bidding/buying.

All About My (No) Returns Policy

My default returns policy is simply: No returns. No exceptions.

That's because much of what I intend to sell (1) represents discontinued product, (2) is old (yet still new in the box) or somewhat rare, and/or (3) is otherwise unused, uninstalled, or unopened. Once it's been opened, installed, used, etc., it wouldn't return to me with the same monetary value it had when it left. Right?

Aside from all that, the idea here is to clear out toddsgarage, not send its contents on a short vacation. To offset this mercilessly vicious and utterly anti‑Wally World finality to your purchase, I offer you painstaking descriptions of my merchandise, coupled with multiple photos depicting it from various angles, as well as this official invitation to send me questions questions questions. If you think I've left out some detail or neglected to show a necessary camera angle, please request more more more.

My pledge to you is to do my utmost in providing complete and accurate item descriptions, offer manufacturer specifications in situations whenever I have it, answer your pre‑sale questions, and then pack your shipments with grandmotherly care. So if you'll be absolutely certain to be certain you want it and sure it's the right part, size, shape, etc., for your needs, before you bid or buy it, then surely returning it will be the last thing on your mind. ...unless it arrives damaged.

It certainly is not your fault if a package sustains damage during shipment, but it also isn't mine. And in order to resolve the situation so that neither of us loses money, I will need your cooperation.

For a damaged package that requires a delivery signature:

In the event of a damaged package at the time of delivery, it should be the shipper returning it, not you.

Please pay close attention to this next part. If, when the shipper places the shipment in your hands (or at your feet, depending on the status you enjoy with your local delivery person), the package is damaged, do not sign for it. Look it over first, before signing. Refuse it if the packaging appears crushed, ripped, torn, open or partially open, shows evidence of water exposure, etc. Basically, if you suspect the damage to the package/box is severe enough to have potentially damaged the contents, refuse the shipment.

The shipper will have no alternative but to return it to me, whereupon I will promptly refund your money. PayPal refunds for PayPal payments, Money Order refunds for M/O payments, etc.

For a damaged package that did not require a delivery signature:

In order to obtain a refund in situations where you were not required to sign for a package that arrives damaged (such as a crushed box, a torn package, holes in the box, an open or partially open package, evidence that the box has been exposed to water, etc.), your timely cooperation with my filing of a claim with the insurer is required. You'll be expected to:

1. Not open the package or remove the contents unless and until directed to do so by either the insurer or the carrier.

2. Notify me by email as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours after the delivery time noted on the shippers delivery confirmation, so that I can begin the claims process.

3. Document the damage by taking pictures that clearly show the damage to the packaging, and then supply me with copies of the photos, via email, within three days of delivery.

4. Preserve the package and any packaging material or other content that may have fallen out while in your possession for possible inspection by the carrier or the insurer.

5. In the event that the shipping company requires on‑site inspection of the damaged shipment, you'll need to permit such inspection within the time frame required by the insurance company (usually five to seven business days).

After you've complied with the five steps noted above, I will promptly and fully refund your money in the form of your original payment. Failure to complete any one of the steps noted above may result in you not receiving a full refund.

The timing of your refund will not be contingent on my receiving reimbursement from the insurance company, unless the insurer first demands receipt of the damaged package prior to payment of the claim. In such a situation, they or I will pay to ship the damaged package from you to them.

For lost shipments:

Although it may take some time (for example, the internal process for lost package searches at UPS can take 7 to 10 business days), when: 1. Delivery confirmation has not been confirmed by the carrier, and 2. The carrier has concluded and confirmed that the shipment was lost, I will promptly refund your money in the form of your original payment.

Under no circumstances will I provide a replacement for item(s) lost or damaged in transit. Simply put, I won't have a replacement to send.

(Not quite) All About Me

Hello! fellow eBidders. I'm a plain ole semi‑exciting man-without-a-man-cave living in Oklahoma City, USA who occasionally buys/sells quality merchandise Online. I've been registered over at Ebay since 2001 as renaissancetodd, where I've amassed a whopping 52 100% positive feedbacks during my 16 year membership there.

Sadly, no, I've not yet ticked "achieve power seller status" off my bucket list, and yes, I've been ready for a less ad-saturated, less fee-saturated, less suggestive selling-saturated alternative for a while now, and so I'm thrilled to be onboard at Ebid!

All About Jack!

Meet Jack, my payments processor and shipping clerk! Jack is a mixed breed with one blue eye and one brown, who loves to swim.

The Boss
Jack

He swims in lakes, swimming pools, bathtubs and sometimes even wades in his water bowl.

The only thing he loves more than water is towels. Heck, he'll eagerly welcome getting dried off with a towel when he's not even wet! Sometimes he'll drag a towel off the counter and try and dry himself. Oh, and he's very vocal. He loves to sing and bark (but mostly bark).

Speaking of singing and barking, careful using the word "go" in a sentence when Jack's around. That's his favorite word of all. He loves to go for drives, go for walks, go to the pet store, and pretty much anywhere that involves getting out and going. Jack is well‑trained and extremely loyal. He's my buddy.
