I am a landscape artist living in West Cross, Mumbles in South Wales. I have been painting for as long as I can remember. My prefered medium is watercolour as it serves landscape painting very well with its transparent and opaque properties.
I paint original watercolours of Wales, England, Scotland and Europe.
I have an slightly impressionistic style...staying away from the photographic copying of a scene. I feel the artist must balance skill imagination, a painting without imagination has no feeling. Colour harmony is most important, The aim of the painting is to give the essence of the subject, hopefully the viewer will see this when they look at the painting.
I paint in my own natural style which has evolved and sort of just happens.
