1) What is PPPay.com?

PPPay.com is an online payment service that we have teamed up with to offer GBP and Euro Instant and Escrow payment facilities via your debit or credit card. Once an auction has finished, the buyer can use PPPay.com to pay the seller.

2) What is PPPay.com Escrow?

PPPay allows both Instant payments and Escrow payments. Escrow is defined as money being put into the charge of a third party until the transaction is completed. "PPPay Escrow Payments" is an exciting concept that will abolish 100% of fraud. It is a new and safer way for paying for your auction purchases. PPPay holds money on the buyers behalf whilst the seller sends the item to be inspected. When all is well after a 24hr inspection period PPPay releases payment to the seller .. Simple .. Safe .. Secure!

3) Is it the same as NoChex?

No. NoChex is an auction payment service. PPPay have a facility called PPPay Instant payments which is almost identical to NoChex. With PPPay Escrow payments you get the best of both worlds. The money is held in deposit (escrow) until the goods have arrived.

4) Is it the same as PayPal?

No. PayPal like Nochex provides you with no guarantee that you will receive the goods after you have made payment.

5) How can it help me?

If you are paying for an item and you have not dealt with the seller escrow payments will give you the protection you require and peace of mind.

6) How does it work?

1. Auction closes
2. Buyer and seller both agree to use escrow payments for their transaction
3. Buyer agrees to pay via PPPay.com Escrow for peace of mind
4. Seller must agree to Post office or Parcel Forces track and trace delivery service
5. Seller must make sure that the goods are insured to their correct value when in transit
6. Buyer and Seller agree on a final payment to be made by Buyer
7. Buyer sends money through escrow payments to sellers PPPay.com account
8. Seller receives confirmation that payment has been received into Escrow
9. Seller sends goods via Post office or Parcel Forces track and trace and enters track and trace ID into PPPay
10. Buyer receives, signs for, and inspects the goods - making sure they match what they purchased
11. PPPay.com independently follows ID dispatch and signed receipt and releases funds to the seller automatically 24hrs later

7) As the buyer, what methods of payment can I use?

You have to have a valid debit card or credit card based in either EUR or GBP.

8) Do I have to use PPPay Escrow?

PPPay Escrow is a completely optional service. However, if you intend to purchase from someone who insists on you sending the money before they send the goods - watch out! You should insist on using an escrow service, or be prepared to lose your money. The rate of fraud on the Internet is growing rapidly. If a seller who does not have substantial feedback is reluctant to use an escrow service it should ring alarm bells !

9) Can I use my normal eBid login details?

No. You have to sign up for PPPay payments separately. Sign-up takes about 30 seconds, so don't worry too much! .

10) I want to send money but don't want to use Escrow.

Simple. Just choose "Instant" as your payment method and you can send money in the same way you would at PayPal.
