At an estate sale I found this wonderful piece of material.  A smidge over two yards and 45" wide so a nice big piece of material for all your sewing needs.  Heavier weight and tightly woven, it is the weight of a jacket or skirt material as opposed to shirt/blouse lightweight material.

I am guessing that this brightly colored and detailed printed material is from the age of flower power, the 1960s and maybe into the 1970s.  Very very bright, lots of fantasy flowers, all outlined in a darker purple/red so the flowers just pop.

Fiber:  not sure as this has no writting on margins, no markings of any kind.  Feels like a crisp cotton without the scratchy feel of polyester, but that we don't know.  What it means to you is be careful how you iron it, don't use a hot iron.  However just to let you know, I look off some threads on the cut edge and set them on fire.  They burned fast and turned into ash, but no melting, or other things, so I am thinking this must be cotton?

Colors:  name it and it is here!  Hot hot pink, bright clear orange, dark sky blue, lime green, medium purple/grape with accents of darker red/purple outlining on the flowers.

Measurements:  45" wide (salvage to salvage) and 75" long or two yards plus an inch or two.  Large enough for clothing, or curtins/drapes if you are decorating in the 1960s 1970s theme.  Pattern is kind of large (flowers 5" across) so will be a little harder to match patterns but could be done as it is a nice big piece of material.  45x75". 

Print:  Huge flowers, the hot pink flowers are approximately 5" across, the daisies are approx 1 1/2" across.

Gosh we would have killed for neat material like this.  For a while we wore skirts and matching or contrasting jackets with patterns like this.  Flowers were everywhere, blouses, shoes, accessories, dresses, hats etc.  The Age of Aquarius, or the age of Flower Power. 

Condition: very good. No rips, tears or damage.  Clean and ready to use with just a hint of dusty storage smell.

New fabrics that imitate this are arriving at fabric stores every day.  But I believe this is 40+ years old because of the detail in the print (often missing today), and absence of any maker/manufacturing ID on salvage.  Today something is always printed on the salvage to give consumer's information.  This has none.
