Auction Description

Windmill spoon, Solvang, California

This is a lovely souvenir spoon from Solvang, California, which is a Danish village in Santa Barbara County.

It dates to the 1960s and comes from my grandmother's estate. She collected them from places the rest of us traveled through the 1960s and 1970s.

The spoon measures 4 3/4" long and is topped with a windmill with blades that actually turn, and the words "Solvang, Ca". There is also a bas-relief of a windmill in the bowl of the spoon. On the back of the handle, in a circle, are the words, "Made in Holland".

The spoon is in excellent condition-no dents, bends, some minor scratching on the back. A great addition to any spoon collection!
