Found several cases of knitting and crochet booklets and magazines at a linen auction at an artist's studio on Sunday.  

Great  knitting magazine "Modern Needlecraft " that appears to have been published twice a year.  Marked #27 spring and summer.  Original price was 50 cents when published in 1956. 

Magazine has 96 pages just packed with projects for the whole family. Hats and bags for teens, high fashion looks for women, sweaters and scarves for men, and some baby clothes too.  Advertisements are great too, one on inner cover is for Ivory soap for washing baby things.  Also has some patterns for sewing the latest women's fashions, fitted dresses for "around the house".  Yup in the old days, women wore "house dresses" when doing housework.  Pants were just something you worn around the house.  No sweats either or hoodies that look like the ones today.

Very nice magazine with crocheting, knitting, and sewing designs.   All black and white photography or drawings except for colored covers.

Condition:   good for its age, 60+ years.  Pages discolored with age.  Back cover has 1/2 x 2" piece missing from bottom of page (ads will need to be matted to hide this).  Some scuffing and smudging on covers.
