Found a wonderful box of trims at an auction last week along with some linens from the same estate. Looks like a mixed group of 1940s and 1950s and some earlier that appear to have been taken off old pillowcases and linens.

Never used this is gorgeous trim that you would never find in the stores today. It is all stitched.  If you go into the shops now, the trims are all hot glued! This is made up twisted rayon cords that are formed into loops, twists, etc. Three colors too, all mossy green, red, gold colors.

I have two pieces of this, both rather long, so I am listing them separately.

Design: green cords form outside edges with thin gold cords looped underneath them, thinner green cords form ovals split down center and accented with wider looped gold cords. All this is actually set against a solid background of shiney red thread.

Size: 1 3/8" x 82" nice big piece.

Fiber: no label, but from feel, it is rayon.

Colors:mossy green, gold, and red

Age: most things in the box were from 1900 to 1950s. I think these are from the 1940s or 1950s.

Condition:  very good for its age (60+ years)! Clean and ready to use.

Pretty  trim for your sewing or crafting pleasure. Nicer than what you can find today (mostly glued together, this is stitched)
