Found a wonderful box of trims at an auction last week along with some linens from the same estate. Looks like a mixed group of 1940s and 1950s and some earlier that appear to have been taken off old pillowcases and linens.
Never used, this was wrapped on an old cardboard. This has one straight edge for for attaching and a pretty scallopes with embroidered edges. Not sure of the fiber but has a linen look (I believe it is cotton)
Design: delicate and pretty design in machine made lace. Scallop look along one edges and embroidered edge scallops on the other. Narrow so will add a nice touch without too much flash.
Size: 1/2" x 110"
Fiber: no label, but from feel, it is cotton. Slightly crisp but not scratching and stiff like poly.
Colors: medium cream color
Age: most things in the box were from 1900 to 1950s. I think these are from the 1940s or 1950s.
Condition: very good for its age (60+ years)! Clean and ready to use.
Pretty piece of narrower lace for display or craft use. Delicate and pretty where ever you want to use it.
