Vintage Linen 1940s Embroidered Tablecloth 34x34" (cutout edges with crochet) and Six Napkins 11 1/2 x 11 1/2"

I went to an auction last week and found some sweet little embroidered tablecloths.  A few have matching napkins.

Beautiful  linen in creamy color is 34x34" with six matching napkins 11 1/2 x 11 1/2". Edging is scalloped with cutout shaped corners and embroidered baskets in each corner. Embroidery is looped (made with a punch hook maybe), so it has a texture like a hooked rug.

Tablecloth as shaped corners with a basket tucked in each one. Baskets are 4x5" with punch hook type embroidery creating a fuzzy texture which is so neat you can use the reverse side too (looks like straight embroidery and no tails showing). Napkins have a colored flower in one corner, two each of the colors from the flower baskets.

Fiber: No tags, homemade. I am guessing linen as it is cool to the touch and has little slubs. Very finely woven and lighter weight.

Age: I am thinking that these are 1940s although they could be a little earlier than that too. These were really popular during that time.

Colors: creamy off white with brown, gold, aqua, and mossy green embroidery. Aqua crochet on edging.

Condition: very very good for its age, 60+ years.   No rips, tears or worn spots.   Like most of the tablecloths at the auctions, this sat on the floor for hours and has smudging all over it. You will want to carefully soak it in enzyme/biological cleaner like Biz or oxyclean to get it sparkling again.
