Found a box of gorgeous doilies and crochet items at an auction last week. Quite a mix of goodies for your viewing pleasure.

Here is another craft you don't see much today, inserting crochet into fabric to create runners, dresser scarves, or tablecloths. Adds elegance. This is decorated in all the corners so it can be used as table runner, dresser scarf, in a hutch, on a buffet, or even to decorate a small round table as a topper. This is why people love dresser scarves/runners.

Design: rectangle of soft white linen with cutout squares decorated with crochet squares.    Pattern is diamonds in squares. Crochet edging is a ladder and picot pattern. Turned hems on all sides, 1" so nice and sturdy.

Measurements: 17x23" nice big size

Color: white or soft white

age:   Probably between 1930s and 1950s.

Condition: very good for its age.  No rips, tears, or damage. General dingy look, this has been stored a long time. Soak in enzyme cleaner like Biz or Oxyclean and it will be sparkling again.

Pretty gift for someone who loves linen and insert crochet or give it to yourself!
