Over the top embroidered cloth - huge diamond in center with hearts
lots of daisies and swirls and blanket stitching w/ crochet on the edges

I went to an auction last week and found some Beautiful embroidered tablecloths.

Looks like this one was so pretty that it was never used. Heavy linen is stitched with cotton floss in shades of cream. Beautiful heavily embroidered design too, so if you like bold embroidery on linen, this is the cloth for you!

Design:Beautiful linen in medium cream color is 34x54" with huge diamond in center decorated with hearts in each corner. Sprays of creamy daisies off the center and all around the border. Crochet combined with blanket stitch embroidery completed the edge. Lots of work went into this one.

Fiber: No tags, homemade. I am guessing linen as it is cool to the touch and has slubs under magnification.

Age: I am thinking that this is 1940s or 1950s.

Colors: medium color cream for the cloth with several shades darker cream for the embroidery and hem.

Condition: very good for its age, 70+ years.   No rips, tears or worn spots.   No spots or smudging, this looks unused.

Pretty larger embroidered tablecloth. If you need a shower gift, this would be beautiful with some other items in a fun basket for the bride-to-be, or keep it for you!!
