Vintage 1940s 1950s Crochet ? Doily: 7x10" A wrapped with a crochet stitch I am guessing? Neat little mat, hotpad, or doily in a rainbow of pearl cotton threads

Won a huge box of doilies at a recent auction, and wow are there the wonderful bright colors here. Also have a few of the hard to find ruffled doilies that were so popular in the 1940s and 1950s.

This is a beautiful pearl cotton wrapped? crochet doily, 7x10" with varigated colors in pink, mint green, glue and yellow. Not sure how this was made, looks like it is a simple crochet stitch over a piece of rope or very thick string.

Cotton thread is heavy so this is a nice substantial doily.

Design: four 1" rings in center are surrounded by a wrapped in pearl cotton rainbow colored doily, hot pad or mat. Neat look and feel on this one. Don't think I saw anything like this before.

Condition: very good for its age (60 to 70+ years old). No rips, tears or broken bridges.

Beautiful colors on this doily if you love rainbows with all kinds of colors, this is the doily for you.
