Found a box of gorgeous doilies and crochet items at an auction last week. Quite a mix of goodies for your viewing pleasure.

Here is another craft you don't see much today, inserting filet crochet into fabric to create runners, dresser scarves, or tablecloths. Adds elegance. This is decorated in all the corners so it can be used as table runner, dresser scarf, in a hutch, on a buffet, or even to decorate a small round table as a topper. This is why people love dresser scarves/runners.

Design: rectangle of white cotton with cutout corners 5x5" filet crochet.    Pattern is iris flowers with long curling leaves.
Crochet edging is a ladder and picot pattern.

Measurements: 18x46" nice big size

Color: white

age:   Probably between 1930s and 1950s.

Condition: very good for its age.  No rips, tears, or damage. A bit of storage smudging, but a fast handwash and press will make it perfect.

Pretty gift for someone who loves linen and filet crochet or give it to yourself!
