Vintage Cotton Damask Woven Tablecloth 58x82"  A little of everything, Blue and Pink Tulips woven in, damask tulips, stripes, and pink machine lace edges

 I went to an auction  last week and found some sweet little tablecloths.  All one estate, the owner must have loved smaller tablecloths but this one is the one that is larger.

Beautiful damask cotton woven tablecloth is 58x82".  Nice heavier fabric  with machine sewn hems.  No Tags.

Very pretty white and baby blue and pink woven tulips, stripes. The frosting on the cupcake is the pink machine made lace trim on the short ends.  So all woven and pinky with blue and flowers! 
 
Design: white background with two wide  8" wide border  running long length of coth close to edges.  Borders are baby blue and pink with lots of woven mini stripes, some flowers, some twisted lines.  Center of cloth is series of pencil line thin blue woven stripes in groups of six.  To make it even better the first owner pulled out the pink of the weaving and added machine made pink lacy trim.  The damask weaving that is white on white is tulips too.

Fiber:  just a guess,  tags don't list faber content.  I believe that this is cotton as it is warmer to the touch.  The weave is very fine.

Colors:  white, with baby blue and pink colors woven in.  Same color pink on machine made lace on short ends. 

Special features:  the baby pink and blue plus the tulips.

Age: I am guessing this is a 1940s or 1950s treasure 

Nice heavy and soft cotton in this one.

Condition: very very good for its age, 60+ years.   No rips, tears or worn spots.   This must have been lightly used as there are some light stains so needs an enzyme/biological soak to make it sparkling again.  
 

Beautiful soft cotton for your retro blue and white 1940s 1950s kitchen.  This is a big tablecloth, if you don't need one quite so large you might want to split it into a smaller one and use the pretty border for a valance and/or runner.
