A stunning limited edition Villeroy & Boch / Heinrich collectors plate, one of a run of 27,500. There were three sets of Fairy Tale plates issued between 1980 - 1983. This is one of the three scenes from the Russian fairy tale of ' Maria Morevna' issued in 1983 titled 'Maria Morevna and Tsarevich Ivan'. The art works are reproductions from the famous Russian artist Boris Zworykin and the originals, about a 100 years old, are at the Metropolitan Museum, New York. The plate has a hanger attached to the back. Unfortunately it does not have it's original box and certificate but it is in very good condition. Width 21.25cms.
