Found a case of excellent sheet music at an auction this week. All from same estate and all in pretty darn good condition for being from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Beautiful photographs and graphics too. Lots of color and design; silly to say sheet music is pretty but the photographs are so great on these!!.

What to do with this "stuff"? Well, I have a small half bath that I have decorated with early 1900 to 1930s sheet music. I used inexpensive frames you can find at Joanne or Michaels just a sheet of glass, a board and clips so frames in about 30 seconds. I do have a few matted and framed, one is Fanny Brice, and that is gorgeous; you can go less expensive, or more expensive with framing.

This is from the 1941 20th Century Fox Picture "Sun Valley Serenade" with beautiful Sonja Henie the ice skating star, John Payne, and Glenn Miller and his orchestra. Cast includes Milton Berle, and Joan Davis too. Photos of all on the cover!!

Colors: aqua blue, dark navy blue and white

Design: great headshot of Payne and Henie in ski/skating outfits (circa 1940)

Five numbered pages (covers and two sided insert).

Special features: photos of all actors and musicians on cover with mountains in background. Back of music features ads for 1942 song folios, Judy Garland sheet music and Deanna Durbin sings.

Condition: good for its age. split on bottom spine, scuffing on cover, wear to edges and NO edge tears. Slight folding of corners and discoloration of page papers.

This will be plastic bagged, wrapped in cardboard and put into a sturdy envelope so that it arrives safely.
