1oz (30ml) PREMIUM FRAGRANCE OIL Egyptian Sandalwood Warm and mysterious with an oriental woodsy appeal and slight musk notes.
This premium grade fragrance oil is primarily used to scent products such as melt and pour soap, cold processed soaps, candle waxes, incense sticks and cones and toiletry bases. Premium grade oils can be used in aroma burners and can be applied to the skin. This premium grade of fragrance is an enhanced formula to provide additional concentration of the top note while sustaining the middle and base notes in fragrance oils and requires less oil to be used when scenting soaps, waxes and lotions while providing superior aroma qualities. This Premium grade oil is suggested for use with Soy wax as the cold and hot throw are superior.
The amount of fragrance used to scent soaps, candles and lotions will vary from scent to scent as well as the strength desired of the final product. The table on the right is intended to give you a starting point only. Please conduct your own in house testing. | | Candles | 1.0 oz. - 1.5 oz. per pound | | Soap | 3/4 oz. - 1.0 oz. per pound | | Bath & Body Lotions | 1.0 oz. - 1.5 oz. per gallon |

These oils are highly concentrated oils and are too strong to use directly on the skin. Essential oils are similar to medications and should not be over-used and never used directly on the skin. It is suggested that you wear rubber type gloves while mixing these oils. They should never be taken internally. Keep these oils out of reach of children and pets.
This oil MUST NOT be used for soap, lotion, or perfume without being properly "cut" (thinned) with Dipropylene Glycol thinning oil. HOW TO 'CUT' FRAGRANCE OILS:
- Drop your fragrance in the oil one drop at a time with an eyedropper. This allows you to gauge the strength of the fragrance in the oil, lest you add too much. How do you gauge the strength of your fragrance? Remember, a little goes a long way. A good rule of thumb is 3 drops of scent for each 1oz (30ml) of oil - more if you like a stronger fragrance, or 1-2 drops if you want a light scent. If you want a strong fragrance, add one drop at a time, and leave the mixture for a few hours, then go back and try a little on your skin. Do this every few hours until you have an intensity you like.
- Once you are satisfied with the strength and scent of your fragrance oil, make sure the cap is on tight and set it aside in a dark place for a few days for it to "infuse". This allows the scented mixture to "mature" and reach its final strength. When you are mixing the fragrance, the scent is still concentrated, so before you can use it, it needs times to combine with the whole container of oil. Then it will be ready for use.
