The Floppy disk contains records of the men who joined the Northamptonshire and Rutland Militias in 1781/1782 in preparation to fight an invasion by Napoleon and the French Army.
The militia's were comprised of up to 1000 men drawn from their county. Some had some experience of fighting but most were common men often 'volunteered' by their employers who were likely to be Officers of the Militia.
Many or our ancestors were members of a militia although few of us will know without checking the Militia records.
The floppy disks are genuine having been bought as part of a set direct from Family History Indexes.My family history research only needed a few of the disks and so although the remainder are classified as used they have never been used.
For that reason I only have in stock one copy of each counties disk so once it is gone it is gone.
This is your chance to get this a piece of British history on software.
Please note that this item is on a 3.5" floppy disk and not on CD.

Working software
Second user software is checked before sale to ensure that it works correctly.
The software is currently tested using Windows 7. If there is doubt that it would not run on other software this will be included in the description above.
Virus Checks
All used software is checked and free from virus but Marshland suggests that before running new second user software a buyer runs a virus check on the software.
Post and Packing
Post and packing listed is only for the UK.
Buyers from countries outside the UK should contact the seller before bidding to agree a price for postage to the relevant country.
Post and packing costs are calculated to cover the cost to the seller, not to add to the profit margin, hence they are amongst the cheapest on E Bid.
