I went to a wonderful estate auction a few weeks ago and found a big deep box of old sheet music.  Some real gems in this lot.  Mostly 1920s and 1930s which was a wonderful era for sheet music.  Photos or artwork are wonderful, these are perfect for framing and giving as gifts. I have a small half bath that has the wall covered with Eddie Canter, Al Jolson, and the various vaudville follies.  

20th Century Fox  released the movie "Hello Frisco hello" in 1943 with Alice Faye, John Payne, Jack oakie and Lynn Bari.   Produced by Milton Sperling, 1st Lieutenant, USMCR, directed by Bruce Humberstone.  Song written by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren.

At this point 20th Century was getting out of the musical movie business so this was Alice Faye's last picture for them.  However, much to everyone's surprise it was a high grossing pixture!

Movie was a musical, will a silly plot line like most musicals, these four are 1915 stage stars and have various adventures.  Audiences loved it.  And the song was also a hit, you have heard this one a thousand times.

Chorus: "You'll never know just how much I miss you.  You'll never know just how much I care"

Cover is muted peeach, black and purple color with large picture of  all our stars in center.    Tiny photo of them on stage, and a wild looking woman in upper right.  Think it is June Havoc in a short skirt.

Music is double fold (front and back cover) with NO additional sheet inside. Four sides.  All pages are here and useable, readable (see condition report below)

Advertising on back cover is for Piano folios, one with two little pictures of Count Basie. No other adverts. 

Music is for the piano, voice, and with guitar chords.

Condition:  good for its age with just slight damage and it is all here.  First owner's name in ink on cover. Split to spine, 1/4" on bottom, wear to spine,  wear and wear  to edges of pages but flat and still very nice..     Pages yellowed of course.  Corners slightly worn.  Smudging on front and back cover but no stains.   Hard to tell if it is faded, it is colored with an old timey look.
