I found a great batch of doll collecting books at the estate auction this week.  Looks like all THREE cases are reference books from a Racine Wisconsin Doll Shop.  Excellent reference, these cover everything from collecting French fashion dolls to fixing dolls (VCR).  If you collect, repair, or sell dolls, these are the books for you.  I will price them well below their original value.  Most are in excellent shape, a few have issues which I will let you know about in detail. 

Since all the latest prices are on line, you still can use these as reference and ID as they are all very detailed and extensive.

This is a wonderful 1989 book, Modern Collector's Dolls by doll expert Patricia R. Smith.  This is the fifth series  

Lots of information, includes: Horseman, Ideal, Lastic-Plastic, Libby, Lincoln, and Vogue dolls.  Plus foreign dolls, celluloid, cloth, china, Royal Doulton, and a section on mfg unknown.  I also see Madame Alexander, Jack built toys, Cosmopolitan, Eugenia, Hallmark, Hasbro, Ideal, Imperial, Mattel, Mar-Dee, Rex, Roberta, Terri Lee, Universal Studios, Woolworth, Unger Toys, and lots more.  This is packed.

Fantastic color and black and white pictures too.

Published by Collectors Book Press Co.   It is a Hardcover book, pp. 287.   Measures 8 1/2 x 11".

Condition:    very good for its age. Only mark is the inked stamp from doll shop. Little wear to spine, edges or corners.  Pages still white and crisp.  Only fault I see if that cover has faded area (see photo).  Looks like this was displayed near window w/ another book on top so sun faded it slightly in a square shape.  Otherwise in in great shape.

Again a wonderful summary of modern dolls including television and movie dolls, personality dolls, etc.  Nice guidebook on ID and values (updates off internet I am sure).

NOTE ON SHIPPING:  US, Media mail is a good way to ship these glossy books which tend to be a bit heavy.  A faster alternative would be a priority flat rate box, which would hold quite a few of these little beauties.  INTERNATIONAL: these are heavy but priority flat rate boxes will hold quite a few for a shipping rate of approximately $25-30.  Since each book originally sold for that amount, if you pick up a dozen of these, you are still money ahead.  We can discuss best way to ship if you email and indicate which ones you are interested in.
