Found some wonderful books this week at an estate sale. Excellent cookbooks, coffee table editions, children's books and knitting and crochet books. All in beautiful condition unless noted.

The auction of the century at Sotheby's Auction in New York was Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis' estate. Included were personal items such as jewelry, and historical ones, the desk used to sign the nuclear test ban treatu at the White House, John's Victorian baby highchair, paintings, JFK's golf clubs, her famous 3-strand of pearls, dining room chairs from her early Georgetown home, footstools, JFK's rocking chair, and tons more.

The auction topped $4.47 million, with many objects going far above their actual value. The desk mentioned above estimated at $20,000 went for $1.4 million. Rocker, est. $3.500, price, $453,500! Rocking horse used at White house for kids, value $2000, sold for $85,000.

Beautiful photographs of the White House rooms as they were during the time JFK was President, with the objects in them. Also shows numerous photographs of Mrs. Onassis wearing her jewelry etc.

Brings back lots of happy memories of Camelot, the JFK administration and the Kennedy children growing up in the public eye. Also of this beautiful woman who captured America's heart with her grace and beauty.

This is a hardcover book with dustjacket published by Cader Books. Author is Dianne Russell Condon with a forward by Dominick Dunne. This is a first edition, originally published for $20.00 in 1996.

Condition: Very very good. No rips, tears or marks on book or bookjacket.
