HEN01 - 6mm to 15mm Any Period Small Stone Henge on Low Hill.
An "off table edge" encampment for DBA DBM DBR HOTT armies representing an Avebury style henge on a low hill with 12 perimeter stones, central obelisk & altar.
Designed for 15mm, but will also work well with all scales from 6mm to 18mm.
Figures in photo are 18mm Minifigs Series-2 Trajanic Romans).
At 20mm-25mm scale, the henge becomes a little small to be an ancient landmark, but could serve as a "folly" on a country-estate, or garden feature for a chateau. In either of those uses, it could serve as a rallying point for infantry, or terrain-breaker for cavalry - cheaper on points than a linear feature (such as a wall) but just as effective.
Use HEN01 in any period, within suitable theatres, as a hill top scenic piece to add a touch of the unusual. It is especially suited to Western Europe and British Isles scenarios. Imagine recreating battles of the English Civil War with a henge on a Wiltshire or Scottish hill top. For Jacobite Rebellion battles, can you get Bonnie Prince Charlie through the enemy lines to meet Flora MacDonald at the Druidic altar?
In keeping with the original concept for DBA DBM DBR HOTT encampments, it is designed to be representational, rather than fully modelled true to scale.

Painting the model in a grey "stone" finish makes it suitable for granite highland areas.
Painting it in sandy "adobe" finish converts it to sandstone for lowland and coastal areas.
This model is particularly suitable for railway modellers to use in their layouts - either towards the back horizon (distant feature) or in conjunction with other citadel and ruin buildings from our various series.
