Esbee Art is me, Susan Barackman. I have created these colorful and exquisite feline art pieces that need no framing. They are proving very popular from sales on ebay and other places. Just like a real cat, all they need is a little space on a shelf or desk to make themselves at home!
These hand painted, hand-cut cats, are modeled after the many cats, past and present, that have been part of my life, since childhood, with cats.
My husband and I also rescue and rehome cats, as we find them or as they come to us. Through the years, we have met many purr-sonalities. These and other felines are the inspirations for Catnicks.
Catnicks are made out of 140 lb. watercolor paper which is stiff and durable. They are finished with colored pencils, watercolor, acrylic or oil pastels. They start as flat 2D art, then skillfully cut out with prop added to back so they stand up and become a 3D art piece. Each CATNICK c. is entirely hand made and original ---
no two are alike in color or size. (Just like real cats, each is individual.) Each is signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity, complete with name of the cat and date of creation that fits in a small pocket on the back of the artwork. note- smaller sized catnicks will have separate certificate not attached to back. Back is left plain and shows the pencil work of the artist. If you prefer it covered, it can be done with quality paper for $5 extra.
