Description: An excellent variety for humid areas. Vigorous vine producing very large, crisp, sweet and acid-free fruit which keeps for several months. More resistant to mildew than other varieties. Sow Spring - Summer. after last frosts and when soil has warmed. Sow direct 10-20mm deep and 50cm apart if on a trellis, or 1 metre apart if trailing. Prepare soil with compost and well-rotted manure; cucumbers dislike acidity. Pinch out the terminal bud to encourage branching. Harvest daily with 2cm of stem to reduce water loss and improve storage of the fruit. Keep well watered.
