Found some wonderful books this week at an estate sale. Excellent cookbooks, advertising for various companies, and some for unusual ingrediants. All in beautiful condition unless noted.

Excellent softcovered book from 1941 with 7 pages, by the Creamette Company. Other motto is "the Cream of macaroni products".

Sweet little colored booklet WWII era on how to stretch your food dollar thru use of macaroni.

Includes recipes:

pasta w/ melted butter
creamettes a la Denver (bacon, onion, eggs)
pasta w/ cheese sauce
creamette custard
creamette salmon savoury
pasta a la meat balls
creamette loaf
creamette veggie salad
creamettes w/ wieners
creamettes Spanish style

and more.

This is a World War II era cookbook, so the emphasis making a meal with less items that were rationed at this time, meat, and oil. To this end, the advertising in the booklet says "they always cook up uniformly plump, firm and meaty".

Condition: good condition for its age, with some wear to spine and lower spine ( cover edges, corners. Still right cover colors but cover is just paper so some folding and curling to the lower corners. A soft fold along the spine, will probably flatten out, no crease on it. But no rips, tears or writing.

A really neat cookbook for WWII cookbooks collectors. Smaller booklet but excellent photos and recipes.
