I am a shopping by heart and by nature.  Don't stick to the antique type things either, I hit all the stores in the area to just "nose" around.  Yesterday got a real find at a local store known for high end items bought in very small quantities.  Never quite know if they will have $75 knitting bag made of silk, a some English mugs, or a stature for the garden.  There in the craft section were a beautiful selection of knitting needles, crochet hooks and crochet/knitting accessories.!  Yikes, and mistake or no, they were sealed in bags of 6 and 8 and 10 packages.  !  So I did a little shopping.


So naturally my mother did not raise a fool, I snatched up the crochet hooks but alas no knitting needles but lots of knitting accessories!!

Every knitter and crocheter have a preference.  I like plastic, especially Balene, and the plastic from the 1930s to 1950s when I find them.  Bamboo is ok, but I seems to break and splinter them, especially finer sizes of doublepoints.  Aluminum or steel are my least favorite except for the super fine steel I use for knitting jewelry with beads.  The familiar click click click that the aluminum makes is so-so to me and I find the points don't seem sharp enough.  Look at us, fussy, fussy, fussy.

Sizes are 10.00 mm or US size P.  There are three identical crochet hooks in this size.  Awfully nice when you drop one in the sofa cushion and have to crochet on without it.    Or for teaching the grandkids simple crochet stitchs.  These are the economy hooks in Boye's line, but still nicely shaped, easy to crochet with heads.  The handles have slightly less shaping than the others listed.

 Condition: very good.  All are unused right from the store.  A wonderful assortment for your crocheting pleasure
