Found some wonderful books this week at an estate sale.  Excellent  cookbooks.   All in beautiful condition unless noted.

Excellent soft covered book from 1978, with 400 pages, it is packed with  some 1500 wonderful recipes from basic to fancy cookin'.  

The color  photos  are just wonderful in this book!  So 1970s to show lots of real food, the kind we grew up on.

Wonderful classic cookbook that is a revision of the 1969 edition of the same cookbook.  This was revised to include that new fangled kitchen appliance, the microwave oven.  Yup, before the 1960s, we had to actually reheat food in a pan on the stove.  Great cookbook for someone looking for a really nice cookbook that includes seafood, meat, and poultry with lots of veggie and dessert recipes too. 

 Condition:   good condition for its age.  Cover has some wear and smudging, with lower right hand corner wear too. All corners slightly bumped.   Back cover has scuffing and a light scratch.  Spine shows a bit of wear but only on the bottom and top edge.  Back and front first pages (blank pages) are missing.  Must have been a personal inscription someone removed when they auctioned the books.  No harm done, you can hardly see where those two pages were removed.  

Betty Crocker's Cookbooks have always been expremely popular among cooks and collectors.  Before all the fancy smancy cookbooks came out the celebrity chefs, Betty Crocker was the cookbook that was the most used by homemakers.  Includes all the basics and some of the fancy stuff too.  Great cookbook.

Not in perfect shape because of the two missing blank pages, but a great 1978 cookbook that can be given as a gift since the cover has just a touch of wear.
