...This beautiful Nutcracker Chase Candleholder is beautifully painted with no splits, cracks or chips. It is 15" tall and would make a great addition to your holiday season décor!! It is made of clay pottery and is beautifully painted with festive, shiny, glaze paint and could possibly be hand painted. I don't know very much about this type of candle but I have been told that, a tapered candle, (which is not included in this auction) would be "loaded" inside; the sprung section ie from underneath, followed by the tube..... so that only the flame at the top of the candle would be visible when burning. The tube, being spring loaded, ensures the candle is constantly moving upwards as it burns away.... thus leaving the flame always where it should be until the candle expires.
