Over 75% of the support emails we receive can be answered by reading the eBid Forums or our FAQ Pages. For this reason we will not reply as quickly to any emails that are already answered within our Forums or FAQ. Please Read Before Contacting Us

  • The item I purchased has not arrived yet.
    Five days after payment was recorded on the After Sale Log (ASL) an option will become available in the dropdown menu providing you with further assistance and help. You can find the ASL for your purchase by going to "My eBid Dashboard" > "Won". The options also appear on the item's description page.
  • The successful buyer or seller is not answering my emails.
    Please leave appropriate feedback for the user. If a user receives 2 negative feedbacks in a row or negative 1 overall we will automatically be alerted to this and will review the users membership at eBid. We monitor all negative feedback and will take appropriate action.
  • The auction fell through. How do I go about getting a refund for fees incurred?
    If a bidder does not pay for an item you will have the option to claim back your Final Value Fees 3 days after the second payment reminder has been posted in the After Sale Log (ASL). You must have left Negative or Neutral feedback and reported the bidder as an NPB (non paying bidder). You will then see the option 'Refund Final Value Fee' in the ASL drop down menu. If you have any other query regarding fee reviews, please provide us with the username, auction ID and the text of the feedback you have left them (if applicable) and we will review.
    However, if you have opted for a "Featured" or "Frontpage" listing and the successful bidder backs out you will need to take this up with the bidder.
  • I wish to cancel my subscription.
    Go to your My eBid > My Subscription section. There, you will see a drop down menu under the heading 'Current Subscription' that will allow you to change your subscription settings.
  • I do not have a debit or credit card how can I sell?
    Unfortunately, as in all walks of life, you get the occassional 'bad apple'. We need to keep them off the site. A debit/credit card security validation check is necessary to improve security. Alternatively PayPal can be used for some upgrade options when upgrading to SILVER or GOLD. Upgrade your account now.
  • My items have been removed. Why?
    Members listing inappropriate items for auction will have the item removed without warning. See below
  • Copies & replicas.
    Please understand that these measure are there for your protection as well as eBid's. Relevant authorities are monitoring auction sites and are starting to prosecute users that abuse venues such as online auction sites to sell replicas and copies. We are working closely with these authorities and again, the removal of the items is protecting you
  • Multiple listings.
    It is not fair on other members to show row after row of the same identical item. If you want to list multiple identical items please list as a Multi-Item Auction
  • Ads/Promotions, 'Get Rich Quick Schemes' and 'Do Not Bid'.
    We will remove listings encouraging 'dollarblast Ads, quickrich schemes, links on how to get goods cheaply, Advertisements etc
  • Blatantly advertising 3rd party (own web site) sites under the 'umbrella' of an auction listing.
    This has an adverse effect on the entire community. It drives traffic away from the members listed auctions to the website linked in the text of the auction and is not only unethical but has a detrimental effect on the whole community
  • Terms and Conditions - Your Conduct.
    You are solely responsible for the contents of your transmissions through the service. You must ensure that your participation in the selling or buying of items does not violate any applicable laws or regulations. By this we mean that you must check that you are entitled to sell or buy the relevant item and that you are not prohibited from doing so by any law or regulation. In particular, you may not sell or buy property which requires a written contract, which is illegal, which requires a licence to buy or sell (for instance firearms, alcohol or pharmaceutical drugs) or which requires you to obtain an export licence.
  • I cannot access my account.
    If you have repeatedly listed inappropriate items it is likely that you have been suspended. See our Terms and Conditions that you signed up to when you first registered via the registration page.
  • eBid's Rights To Terminate.
    You agree that eBid, in its sole discretion, may terminate any auction or use of the service immediately and without notice if (a) eBid believes that you have acted inconsistently with the spirit or the letter of this Terms of Service or (b) if eBid believes you have violated or tried to violate the rights of other users.
